As the week progresses in intensity I find myself having less time to read through many of the interesting articles and features about fashion that come into my feeds and mailbox. I have always appreciated those bloggers who do the work of curating and suggesting interesting content and links. There is always a point over the weekend when I find myself in a favorite or new coffee shop excited to have a couple of hours to return to those features I wanted to get to but didn’t. One or more of these articles or videos is usually an inspiration for a post or a photo shoot. One of the ways that academics share exciting knowledge and acknowledge those who created it is through the creation of a bibliography. So I am excited to start a new feature for Fridays, Fashion Bibliography.

Let me know what you think!
Yes. There’s so much I just can’t read, but I adore that you’re approaching this as a bibliography. Can’t wait to dig in. Can’t wait.
Great! I will try to find really interesting and off the beaten track sources.
I think it is a great idea! It allows your readers to read
articles that you have selected–the internet world is
so huge that I, for one, am grateful for it to be
winnowed down to a few topics related to fashion.
Thanks for the feedback, it also is helping me to keep a resource file in the event I want to refer back when I am writing about something.
Just mastered doing an email subscription, I will work on this technology challenge next!

you are a beautiful, older woman; i just wish you might smile once in awhile! have never understood that fashion runway dourness…
Ah Nina, this is an issue that has come up before. I hope you can trust that I am smiling inside and that there is a reason that I do not smile. Sometimes if you look closely I will try a Mona Lisa type smile like the one on my video last week.

I really appreciate the link to the Simone Rocha on Louise Bourgeois article. I love Bourgeois, and I think Rocha is making some of the more interesting clothes we see right now. I’m always happy when there’s an intellectual as well as artistic link in fashion.
Yes, it makes me engage more with the designer and makes the clothing more meaningful somehow. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Glad you liked the choices. She was an amazing woman and she worked with fashion designers also, like Helmut Lang.

Great new series and one that I will appreciate. So much to read. So little time.

It would be helpful if your interesting links opened in a new window so that the page of your blog could be kept open to return to…is that possible
