I like nothing better than a beautiful pair of handcrafted black boots to serve as the foundation for constructing my looks. When one favors the designs of Yohji Yamamoto and CDG as I do, shoes and boots must be modern yet comfortable and imbued with a sense of history. I am pleased to introduce you to The Last Conspiracy, a brand I discovered, led by Creative Director Roald Nore. Guiding principles of the designer are, “looking back for craftsmanship and looking forward for creativity.”
THE LAST CONSPIRACY develops unique, comfortable and hand-made footwear. According to the website, “each collection is built on the premises of experimental progress, allowing for new treatments and construction processes.” Authentic shoemakers first and design studio second, the brand brings together two countries: Denmark, where the design process is inspired by the clean Scandinavian aesthetic, and Portugal, the world’s top hand-made shoe producer. In today’s post I share with you photographs detailing the process of design and creation shot on location in Atelier of The Last Conspiracy in Porto, Portugal. The photographer is Lisbeth Breland Saalmink.
Shoes and boots are for sale on the website The Last Conspiracy and Farfetch
Price-wise, I veer from camp to camp, depending on the style of the footwear in question. I’ve invested in Loewe leather pieces as well as in high street shoes that were under $30. I do, however, tend to splurge a little more on my ankle booties since they’re my shoe of choice. Personally, fabricating an outfit is very often dictated first by the selection of shoe/boot, everything else falls in place thereafter.
This has been the winter of ankle booties for me and I think I am going to keep wearing them even in the warm weather.
Thanks, I actually has a conversation where I was asked my opinion about the word old. I said I prefer to use aging because everyone is doing it, it starts when you are born and with so many things like wine, leather, furniture it gets more beautiful as it ages.

Love love love everything here, from the company’s website to the product, to the pictures of the factory and the craftsmanship. There is nothing like a good pair of boots. I have several pairs that are very old, and they only get better with age. I feel great in boots: powerful, sexy, prepared for anything. And like you, I can build a whole outfit on the boots. Great post!

Thank you, it has been fun doing this kind of creative writing, I hope to get better the more I do it.

Wow I thought that craftsmanship like this no longer existed. Does not surprise me they are sold on Far Fetch.

It was interesting to read what attracted you to buy
"The Last Conspiracy" brand and the photos of their
atelier were fun to see.For me,the color is very
important–it has to be black because most of the
other large areas of my winter"looks"are black and
they must be comfortable!(Ugh!–that isn’t so fun !)
That is the best part about this brand, comfort is a priority in the design process and yet they are still modern and stylish.

If you are in London, UK you’re very lucky to go to the iconic shoe-designer, Tracey Neuls (http://www.traceyneuls.com/), who has two stylish shops in London ‘villages’, Marylebone and Shoreditch. More importantly, her shoes are the most comfortable and modern on the planet. I never buy anything else.
Thanks of this recommendation I am on my way to the website!

Shoes and boots are almost important to me as hats. Thanks for the introduction to The Last Conspiracy. No wonder why you look so grounded in the gorgeous photo above.
You are always so eloquent and make me think of the words she knows how "to turn a phrase"
