Accidental Icon: Dressed in Comme des Garçons 2

There is nothing like a chic black wool ensemble to keep you warm in winter. In this photo I am wearing a CDG midi skirt and top. I love the velvet collar on the top and the ragged trim. The top looks like a jacket but actually goes over your head like a shirt (always a little twist with CDG). The collar reminds me of the wool coats I used to wear when I was a little girl.

    Love wool! Although it can be so pesky to keep lint/dog hair free. The quote is so romantic – yes I would love to be that woman who found a man so loving! xo

      Yes, it is very romantic and they have an interesting relationship. He reports they speak ten times a day because he lives in Paris and she in Tokyo. I have huge rolls of tape to address that problem!

      Thanks Tanya, you can’t tell with this top but it has a really high waist so you can wear with a beautiful blouse tucked in.

    So enjoying your blog which I have recently found. I share your love of black and white but change to more navy and white in the summer, when we get one here in Northern England!! I wish I had your sense of style but am being inspired by your postings. I just need to find more courage and good less expensive brands.

      Thanks you and if I ever do anything other than b & w it is a navy or midnight blue. I will share a secret, though I wear "expensive" brands many of my pieces come from consignment and vintage shops and when I do invest in new clothes, which I do, it is always when there are really steep sales. Believe it or not Living in NY there are many options but now there are on-line sites like Vestaire Collective where you can find beautiful pieces.

      I must confess, they are favorites, got them at a Vintage Show in NYC. I believe they came from Paris.
