Sometimes when you want to stop feeling like a machine that repeats the same thing over and over, you need to reprogram and try something unexpected and new. Different for me this week is wearing luxe fabrics like silk duchess rather than my working class and utilitarian black wool. Colors like the bronze and purple are somewhat jarring for me but sometimes you need a push in another direction to jog your mind to produce new ideas. Of course the ever present black drape is always a player for me like a well worn and comfortable shawl that keeps me warm and protected. The sharp pointed collar beckons me to go in new directions. Contrasts both with color and with textures make this dress tactile and sensual, putting me back in touch with my five senses ironically reminding me that I am a human and not a machine.

I can totally imagine how that dress awakens your senses in a new way.
I also love your styling of these photos. I’ve been thinking if I ever would do a blog myself, I would love to work with all the amazing painted walls and murals in my area.
Thank you. Calvin has found secrets all over the city.

Jogging the mind and awakening the senses are good things to aim for and be thankful for. I too admire your styling — could you sometimes identify your locations?
Thanks for your stimulating blog!
I never thought of naming the locations as they are very often obscure off the beaten track places Calvin has found in his photographic ramblings. It is an interesting idea to consider.
This a first for me.. To see you in bronze and blue. The clothes are fabulous, so well made, so different, such an art. And you are a perfect person to wear them. Very beautiful.
As a detail fanatic, I would love to see photos full size of you and some photos of details. I thought I just send in this request haha. I know I am not an art person.

Thank you, I will see if I can do more of that in my details post. Oddly although I liked wearing the color for a change I felt a bit not like myself. It was a little more like I was wearing a costume.
